Rockhampton City Council have this week announced a change to the Rockhampton Region Planning Scheme with a number of amendments set to promote new opportunities for businesses and community members.
With a number of treasured historical sites in Rockhampton, the changes to the scheme will help to preserve the integrity of some of our favourite historical buildings.
Given the city is constantly evolving, the Rockhampton City Council are aiming to stay up to date with changes ensuring that the planning scheme suits the evolving needs of the community.
This means that Fitzroy River will also be getting its own Accommodation and Industry Precinct to support the growing fishing tourism industry!
But all of these changes are for the people, so the Council wants YOU to have YOUR say!
So take a minute to jump online where you'll find a full list of the proposed changes and can tell the council exactly how YOU feel about the amendments to the Planning Scheme.
