Big swells batter Gold Coast beaches
Hazardous Surf Warning in place
Two to three metre waves will be thumping into the Gold Coast today with a low pressure system hovering off the Australian East Coast.
The Weather Bureau has issued a Hazardous Surf Warning for Gold Coast beaches, and swimming is not recommended with a strong northerly sweep and unstable conditions underfoot.
