A fire has torn through a small home and cabin at Currumbin Valley in the early hours of this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Tomewin Mountain Road just after 4am on Tuesday, finding both structures well involved upon arrival.

An adult man suffered minor burns to his hands in the blaze, as well as smoke inhalation, and was treated by QAS officers at the scene.

He was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Two urban and two rural fire crews were on scene, taking around three hours to extinguish the blaze.

Investigations were set to get underway into the cause.
