Bloke Literally Shoots Himself In The Foot Trying To Kill A Cockroach

A bloke in the US - obviously - has quite literally shot himself in the foot in an attempt to kill a cockroach, police have confirmed.

The unnamed man reportedly picked up a shoe to chuck at the 'roach, in his haste forgetting that he had stashed a revolver in there for safe keeping.

When the shoe went flying through the air, the gun fell out and fired, hitting the 50-year-old in the foot.

Detroit police confirmed that the man was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition, although they did point out that they've been unable to confirm his version of events.

The cockroach's condition is unknown.
