Blokes Went To Download Festival To Spread Mates Ashes During Slayer. Got The Stage, Band And Time Wrong!

A couple of blokes had their heart in the right place, but got a few details wrong at Melbourne's Download Festival this week.

The story shared via Twitter tells of two blokes plans to farewell their metal head mate who was a massive Slayer fan at the heavy music festival at Flemmington racecourse this Monday.

The festival, venue and date were the only details the blokes got right as they took the zip lock bag of ashes from their pocket during UK punk duo Slaves set, at 1.05pm on the Avalanche stage, a few hours and stages away from the American metal legends 8.20pm, main stage slot.

A fellow festival goer who caught wind of the situation tried to explain to the blokes that Slayer were on in 7 hours but they continue with their touching tribute to their mate and emptied the plastic bag of ashes into a light breeze- which blew their late mate straight into the face of a nearby security guard.
