A 15-year-old boy has been charged following a crash in Tallygaroopna yesterday morning.

An allegedly stolen vehicle crashed into a pole at Zeerust School Road about 4am.

A 23-year-old Mooroopna man, believed to be a front seat passenger, was seriously injured in the collision.

The injured man was airlifted to hospital in Melbourne and remains in a serious condition. 

The boy was charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury, hit run offences and theft of a vehicle. 

He has been remanded in custody and will face a children’s court at a later date.
