Triple M NRL's Brent Read has detailed the horrific injury Bulldogs' fullback Nick Meaney sustained in his side's loss to the Rabbitohs on Goody Friday.

Meaney went down in the first-half and was actually ruled-out of the game at the half-time break.

But somehow, the 21-year-old managed to come back late on the second half despite earlier having his tendons and bone exposed.
