Legendary broadcaster Sandy Roberts has announced his retirement from tv commentary.
An incredible career, which spanned 46-years, saw Roberts lead eight Summer Olympics including the Sydney 2000 games, three Winter Olympics, countless AFL matches as well as a variety of other sports.
In 2014, Roberts made the move from the Seven Network to Fox Footy where his illustrious career has come to an end.
“I want to thank all the viewers for welcoming me in to their lounge rooms for almost five decades," Roberts said.
"It’s an absolute honour to call live sport on TV for a living and to share that excitement with fans.
"It’s now time to hand over the commentary box keys to young guns."
