Bundaberg Region's Inaugural Milbi Festival Launches This Year!

Bundaberg's Crush Festival is being relaunched as Milbi Festival this November, showcasing all things turtles, arts, culture & Indigenous heritage.

The festival will act as a celebratory opening of the turtle season, with Milbi being a Gurang word for turtle. Indigenous people have a strong affinity with turtles, dating back to the Dreamtime.

Bundaberg Tourism and Gidarjil are supporting Milbi Festival and have entered into a mutual agreement with Bundaberg Regional Council for the festival.

Council are calling for expressions of interest for events to be included in the festival, which will be a hero destination event for the Bundaberg Region.
