It's the Year of the Pig and Bundaberg CBD are celebrating Chinese New Year on Saturday, February 16.

There will be a "Come n Try' dragon boat day, Chinese Food Discovery Tours, cooking classes, concerts and more!

CQUniversity will host a Chinese Cultural Concert, featuring performances from Nanning artists. Performances will commence at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm and 7pm in the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre.

There's no need to worry about the kids either! There will be activities for all ages, including the Kids Zodiac Animal Trail, dragon dancing, food and market stalls and a traditional Chinese tea ceremony.

The sky is also set to light up with an amazing array of crackers and fireworks!

The Year of the Pig represents luck, overall good fortune, wealth, honesty and general prosperity.  Celebrations will kick off from Saturday, 16 February, 3pm to 9pm at Buss Park and the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre.

So, if you're looking for something to do or if you'd like to celebrate Chinese New Year, make sure you make your way to all the festivities!
