Tasmania Police have released an update on the condition of burns victim Nicole Evans as he alleged attacker is due to reappear in court today.
Ms Evan allegedly doused by her boyfriend in accelerant then set on fire at a Chigwell property earlier this year.
Police say that 20 year old remains in a secure room in a Victorian Hospital, where she continues to undergo treatment for burns to 65 per cent of her body.
While showing slight improvement, Ms Evans has been lapsing in and out of consciousness and remains unable to communicate and unable to receive visitors
The man accused of causing grievous bodily harm and other matters is due to appear this afternoon at Hobart Supreme Court after being remanded in custody and not applying for bail.
