Bus driver charged over fatal pedestrian crash

A 60 year old Cygnet man has been charged by summons with Negligent Driving Causing Death.

The arrest relates to a fatal pedestrian crash involving a bus which occurred at approximately 6pm on Friday 22 July 2016 on the intersection of Campbell and Macquarie Streets, Hobart.

The pedestrian, a 46 year old woman from Queensland, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The man will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on Friday 3 March 2017.
