Caltex Moonah Attempted Armed Robbery

A 13 year old is facing charges following an overnight attempted armed robbery in Moonah 

Police report that at 10:28pm last night (Wednesday 7-March-'18) a male youth entered the Caltex Service Station on Main Road, Moonah armed with scissors.

The youth approached the counter and demanded cash from the console operator which was refused before the tennager fled on foot.

The suspect was apprehended nearby and the 13 year old male youth was formally charged with attempted armed robbery before being detained for a court appearance today (8/3/2018).

Tasmania Police say the Service station console operator was not physically harmed during the incident.
