Victorian batsman Cameron White has been frank when asked about his international hopes on Triple M’s Dead Set Legends.

WHITE ON HIS CHANCES:

White has been around the mark of the Australian side for years - particularly in the ODI team - with his last one-dayer for Australia coming in January this year.

But he hasn’t played since, despite piling on the runs for Victoria, scoring 244 runs at an average of 44.80, including a 123 against New South Wales.

White joined Triple M Melbourne’s Dead Set Legends with Joey Montagna and Jay Clark, ahead of Victoria’s semi final against Western Australia on Sunday, where Clarky asked him about whether he still hoped to play for Australia.

“Look, I guess so,” he replied.

“While I’m still playing for Victoria and still enjoying cricket, I don’t think you can keep playing with not looking to get a game for Australia.”

The 35-year-old admitted the chance was pretty slim.

“I think my chance is probably all but finished,” he told Triple M.

“Those couple of little games last year that I played (was) probably my last very small window.

“Look, you never know, but I’m just enjoying playing cricket with the Vics.”
