Ponga, out. Mahoney, gone. Brimson, doubtful. Since Paul Green named his twenty-man Origin squad on Monday morning there have already been a raft of changes ahead of game one and another could be on the cards with Titans halfback AJ Brimson in doubt for the series opener on Wednesday.

Speaking on The Big Breakfast this morning NRL Insider Dobbo told Marto and Margaux that the twenty-two-year-old sat out of training yesterday with damage to his knee described as 'bone on bone' and could be ruled out by the end of the day. This may see an old Queensland favourite brought in as a replacement.

"They will rule AJ Brimson out today if he's going to be out"

Meanwhile coach Paul Green has been innovating new means of generating a home ground advantage. Due to Queensland Country Bank Stadium’s open-ended horseshoe design wind travelling into the stadium from behind the scoreboard can be very difficult for kickers to navigate. However, the crafty Green has found a clever solution to replicate conditions at training.
