The Greenacre community held an impromptu candlelight vigil for victims of the crash yesterday, as locals gathered around the entrance of Banskia Road Public School.
Bunches of flowers were left at the scene, along with written tributes to the two eight-year-old boys killed in the crash.
There was also a minute's silence from the crowd.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian visited the school yesterday afternoon following the crash at 9.45am.
A 52-year-old woman drove her 4WD into a demountable classroom containing 24 kids and a teacher.
Five students were taken to hospital and others were treated for minor injuries.
