One of America's biggest fast-food chains will start selling its iconic thickburgers and shakes in the Hunter from today.
Carl's Jr is opening the doors to its drive-thru and 70-seat restaurant at Stockland Glendale at 9am.
It's the chain's second store in New South Wales, joining the one at Bateau Bay on the Central Coast.
Franchisee Lindsay Brennan says the brand has had a ton of international success and he's hoping to see something similar here.
"Carls Jr are now in 30 countries and one of their expectations is that Australia's going to be very good for them," he said.
The chain started as a hot dog stand in Los Angeles in 1941.
