Carrie Underwood’s “The Champion” Certified Platinum

A year ago Carrie Underwood released her powerful, inspiring hit song “The Champion” ft. Ludicras.  A year later after gaining worldwide attention during the opening of NBC's Super Bowl LII, Underwood’s football anthem has been certified platinum by the RIAA.

"The Champion" reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs in the U.S. and nine other countries after its debut, and held the top spot throughout its release week. It rose to the top of the charts again for four consecutive days after the Super Bowl LII opening the song has had one hundred and fifty million streams to date.

Carrie wrote the song alongside Brett James, Chris DeStefano and Christopher Bridges (Ludicras) and was the one to ask the rapper of he would collaborate on the song.
