South Australian Casey Treloar has sadly been forced out of the dairy industry.

A third generation dairy farmer from Parawa, South Australia, Casey Treloar filmed a video on Facebook over the weekend explaining that her family has been forced out of the industry.

Her video has gone viral, amassing over 700,000 views and this morning she joined Roo and Ditts on Triple M Adelaide to shed further light on the reasoning behind her family leaving the dairy industry.

"It's an industry that over the last ten years has been doing it exceptionally tough," Treloar explained.

"Part of it has come from that $1-per-litre milk the supermarket giants out in.

"And that in a sense de-valued our product so the suppliers who sell our product aren't working hard enough to ensure the farmers get paid enough.

"On the back of that, our production costs have gone through the roof..and it's just unsustainable."
