‘We were given a prognosis where Jake (our son) was not going to be here with us’
Every parent’s worst nightmare came true one morning for Central Coast locals Craig and Sheryn when there son woke up one morning and had lost the ability to move his arm, but this was only the start.
Craig and Sheryn explained to 107.7 Triple M’s Paddy and Rob Palmer ‘Jake woke up one morning and his arm wasn’t working . . . We took him down to Gosford Hospital and we found out he had swelling on a quarter of his spine’.
Jake was then rushed to Westmead Hospital where in a matter of days, He was on life support in ICU.
After months in hospital and long recovery process, Sheryn gave an update on how Jake is today ‘his diaphragm is partially paralysed and also down the left side back is paralysed, but he’s a happy healthy 6-year-old boy who loves soccer, runs around absolutely madly’.
