A toddler's recovering in hospital after a horrifying lawnmower accident at Mardi overnight.
Police say the 4-year-old's mum was reversing the ride-on in their front yard when she felt a bump and discovered she'd struck her little boy.
Neighbours rushed to the home around 5:00PM to help release the little one, ahead of emergency services arriving on scene.
He was airlifted to Westmead Children's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
