No relief for Coasties at the bowser, with average petrol prices jumping nearly 14 cents in the last week alone.

The NRMA’s revealed E10 is costing around 156.4 cents per litre across the region’s stations, compared to 142.8c/L last time around.

For diesel the increase was only 2.4%, but it's still setting motorists back 152.7c/L.

It makes the Coast the third worst spot in NSW for unleaded petrol.

The NRMA says the increase over the week ending May 27 coincided with crude oil prices going up 0.2 cents a litre.

It expects a reprieve in the next two to three weeks, where the state-wide average is expected to dip back down to 141 cents.
