Police are investigating after a child was struck by a vehicle this morning, in Orange.

At around 8:45am (12th April, 2018), a 13-year-old Orange High School student was walking across the road, at the crossing, in Coronation Drive.

The vehicle was being driven by a 55- year old female, when it impacted with the child, travelling at a speed of about 5km/hr.

Inspector Dave Harvey from Orange Police Station said the student suffered minor lacerations and was treated at the scene, before she was cleared to go home.
