Two Dead Following Gyrocopter Crash

WA Police have confirmed two people have died in a gyrocopter crash just off the shore line of Forrest Beach near Capel.

The accident occurred around 2:20pm today.

Police say a witness saw the plane drop about 200m from the sky and into the water.

Both male occupants did not survive the incident.

The aircraft is still in the water (as of 5:30pm) but will be recovered and sent to Bunbury for forensic officers to look through.
