Chris Cornell Confirms New Soundgarden Album Out Next Year

We may have something to look forward to in 2017, with Chris Cornell confirming that Soundgarden will have another album out.

The legendary front man is hoping to complete the follow up to the 2012 album King Animal next year with a tour to follow shortly afterwards.

He said in an interview that “the next thing that I am committing myself to concentrating on a hundred percent is the next Soundgarden album”.

Work on the new album apparently started in back in 2015, but the band had to take breaks in writing while Cornell toured his Higher Truth solo album and drummer Matt Cameron was on tour with Pearl Jam.
