Chris Dawson has arrived in Sydney, with the QANTAS flight touching down before 10am this morning.

According to a NSW Police spokesperson, Dawson, 70, will be taken to the Sydney Police Centre at Surry Hills, where he is expected to be charged.

The timing of the charging has not yet been confirmed.

Once charged, Dawson is then expected to face Central Local Court in the CBD - not Parramatta Court, as was reported yesterday - with the timing of this appearance also unknown.

Dawson was flanked by officers from the State Crime Command on the flight from the Gold Coast.

He has lived in Queensland since 1984, and was arrested yesterday in relation to the disappearance of his ex-wife Lynette.

She disappeared from the couple's Bayview home in Sydney's Northern Beaches in 1982.
