Coast Cabbie Held Up At Knifepoint

A terrifying ordeal for a Coast cabbie overnight, robbed at knifepoint after taking up a fare.

The 71-year-old was waiting at the rank near Wyong train station around 6:45, when a man entered his taxi.

He was asked to drive to Blue Haven.

When they pulled up on Alambee Crescent, the passenger produced the knife.

The suspect demanded cash before fleeing the scene.

Tuggerah Lakes Detectives are now looking for a man in his late teens to early 20s, wearing an orange and yellow hoodie and blue shorts.
