Overgrown trees are blocking vision of the harbour for Marine Rescue volunteers from their Coffs Harbour lookout they have been in since 2000.

NSW Department of Industry told Triple M that "it is a matter for the Coffs Harbour City Council who are the land managers".

Mick Raby from the Coffs Harbour City Council spoke to Moffee on Triple M, saying that the trees are literal rainforest and protected under state government legislation.

Council intend to install CCTV cameras to allow the volunteers to view the boat ramp via monitors.
