A 32 year old man from Coffs Harbour has been arrested and charged.

Detectives from the Homicide Group will apply for the extradition of the man to face charges in Queensland for the murder of Jay Brogden, in Airlie Beach in 2007.

The 32 year old man, formerly of Airlie Beach was charged by New South Wales Police in relation to other matters.

Jay Brogden was last seen at Cannonvale on Saturday April 21, 2007.

Earlier this month, police launched a billboard on the side of the highway at Cannonvale to encourage anyone with information regarding the homicide to contact police.

Queensland Detective Inspector Damien Hansen said that he believes there will be further arrests in the matter.
