A truck has rolled on a notorious spot on the Pacific Highway in Coffs Harbour this morning.

Just before 4am, the truck understood to be carrying meat left the road and rolled to the north of the Englands Road roundabout.

Both northbound lanes have been closed with emergency services and traffic controllers at the scene directing traffic.

Diversions are in place with northbound traffic on the Pacific Highway to take Englands Road and Isles Drive before rejoining the highway, while southbound traffic is unable to turn right into Englands Road at the roundabout.

Traffic from Stadium Drive is being divert back south onto the Pacific Highway.

It is unknown how long the road will be closed for the clean up.

Triple M listener Christien was one of the first on the scene and told Triple M he had to cut the man's seatbelt to pull him from the wreckage.

He is understood to have head injuries and was taken to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital.
