Competitive Water Skiers To Arrive At Mount Morgan Next Weekend For State Tournament

Water skiers from across the state will be congregating to CQ's No. 7 Dam next weekend for Round 8 of the Waterski Queensland CQ Series.

Over the course of the weekend, more than 30 participants will compete in 3 rounds of slalom skiing and 2 rounds of trick skiing. 

Rockhampton Regional Mayor, Margaret Strelow, said she is thrilled to see the tournament return to Mount Morgan.

“This will be the final tournament in this series, and the competitors’ last chance to qualify for State and National Titles, so it will be a very exciting event to watch... The competition is going to be a lot of fun for the public and participants, and we think competitors and their families will really enjoy exploring the historic Mount Morgan area and the revitalised streetscape during their stay."

The tournament will run from 8am - 5pm on Saturday 9th March, continuing on Sunday 10th March from 8am - 12pm. Click here for more information.
