Melbourne has a concern over forward Jack Watts.

Watts has hurt in a marking contest early in the first quarter, and went down to rooms twice during the first term and disappearing again at the quarter time break.

Dr Rohan White believes Watts may have had a shot or some padding to help him through the game.

"At the 15-minute mark of that first quarter he went down to the rooms with the doc," he said on Triple M.

"He wasn't down there for too long, so I don't think he had a shot then, but he was a bit concerned at that quarter time break, went down, spent the whole break down in the rooms with the doc."

White said the Dees are plenty to ensure Watts can run the game out.

"I think he's had a shot and just looking at him, I think he's got a little bit of padding on that lower back, hip pointer region," he said.

"He's labouring through that. It's going to be a struggle for him to get through the game."

Fellow forward Tomas Bugg also appeared to hyperextend his left elbow in the first term, returning to the game with strapping applied.
