A NSW man is behind bars accused of biting a police officer on the leg while drunk at a music festival.
The 44-year-old was asked by security to leave the SummerSalt event at Coffs Harbour on Sunday "due to his level of intoxication" but refused to do so, police say.
He got physical as staff escorted him out of the venue, before police arrived to arrest him.
He allegedly bit one officer on the calf - causing it to bleed - as he was being handcuffed.
The man was taken to a police station and charged with multiple offences, including assault occasioning actual bodily harm on police.
He was refused bail to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Monday.
