A coroner has cleared the actions of a police officer who killed an armed man on a Warwick property in November 2016.

The three-day inquest delved into the shooting death of RusselL Winks.

The Chronicle reported that during an incident on the property, Mr Winks was armed with a gun and wanted police to shoot him.

The coroner found that the lethal force used by police was appropriate.
