Mark Ricciuto has said that the Crows decision to part ways with Brett Burton and Scott Camporeale was not driven by the playing group.

Following an external review that was completed last week, the Adelaide Crows made the decision to part ways with senior assistant Camporeale and head of football Burton.

Speaking this morning on Roo & Ditts on Triple M Adelaide, Ricciuto clarified that that decision had come form the Crows board and was not driven by the playing group.

“It’s not all player power, (but) they are important part in the group," Ricciuto said.

"The external guys in Jason Dunstall and Matthew Pavlich speak to all the players and also speak to the coaches and people in footy department.

They speak to the broad as a whole group, and they give the information they get. They don’t say 'you have to sack a him'.The CEO and chairman make those decisions."
