Police are investigating, after an accident involving a bicycle rider and a vehicle occurred on Cadia Road, at the intersection of BalleyKeane Lane, at 8am this morning (March 16, 2018).

Inspector Linda Bradbury with Orange Police said the bike rider, who is a 32-year-old male from Orange, sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.

The man was airlifted to hospital in Sydney.

The Female driver of the vehicle was conveyed to Orange Health Service, suffering from shock. She will undertake mandatory testing.

The road remains closed at the intersection of Berilee and Cadia Road, and from Forest Road and Cadia Road, as investigations are still taking place. 

Inspector Bradbury said the circumstances around the accident are yet to be determined.
