Dale Thomas Referred Directly To The Tribunal For Umpire Incident

Carlton veteran Dale Thomas will head straight to the tribunal tomorrow night after being reported for umpire abuse.
Thomas was charged with abusing an umpire during the third term of the clash with GWS, with the incident referred straight to the tribunal and no early plea available.
Other players who received suspensions included Travis Varcoe, Rhys Mathieson, Ivan Soldo and Lewis Jetta, who were all banned for one game.
Varcoe received a game for bumping St Kilda's Ed Phillips, while Soldo's absence adds to Richmond's ruck woes with Toby Nankervis already out injured.
