Dan Menzel's Pre-Season Stunted By Groin Surgery

New Sydney recruit Daniel Menzel has undergone groin surgery, according to the Herald Sun.

Menzel pulled up sore during a training session and was operated on last week.

The 27-year-old won’t return to training until Frebruary.

Menzel felt pain in his groin from his first Swans training session, and the club sent him in for an operation rather than let the injury linger.

The former Cat missed a large chunk of 2018 after a groin injection went wrong, leaving him on the sidelines for three months.

Sydney are still not ruling out a round one debut for Menzel.
