David Reynolds Sprays Shane Van Gisbergen!

There’s no love lost between David Reynolds and Shane Van Gisbergen ahead of next week’s Coates Hire Newcastle 500.

Reynolds was asked on Triple M about the title fight between Scott McLaughlin and Shane Van Gisbergen next week in the Newcastle’s East End, and didn’t hold back!

“If you look at the whole category, Whincup is the best racer out there.

He’s won the most races, he’s a seven time champion... and then on the other side of the fence, you’ve got Shane, who just seems to crash into people for no reason and do silly things.

I don’t know, he seems to enjoy it, it’s weird.

But then Scott, like he’s one of the good guys, he races really hard and fair, so he’s actually a true sportsman."

If you remember, Reynolds and Van Gisbergen came together on the track during last year’s Newcastle 500… looks like the scene is set for another tense battle next week on the streets of the East End!
