Queensland skipper Daly Cherry-Evans says belief in his Origin squad is sky-high thanks to the crack team of staff assembled since Kevin Walters’ departure to the Broncos.

With this year’s series kicking off next Wednesday in Adelaide ‘DCE’ has told The Rush Hour with Dobbo that this year’s side has an incredible learning opportunity before them.

However, DCE believes his squad’s unshakable confidence comes off the back of the star-studded coaching panel assembled to lead Queensland into this year’s series, comprised of Wayne Bennett, Mal Meninga & Neil Henry

“I’m making sure that I’m listening in, asking questions, and trying to pick their brains…it’s just up to us as players to take advantage of this opportunity and learn and get better” Cherry-Evans told Dobbo

“When you talk about coaching staff, Jesus, she’s right up there”

The squad, featuring eight debutantes, owe a lot to the next man up mentality and development pathways such as the emerging Origin stars camp.
