Detectives Arrest And Charge 13 People In Melbourne Drug Bust

Police have charged 13 people after a large amount of cannabis, cash and property were seized in in the north-west of Melbourne yesterday.
Drug Taskforce Detectives executed warrants at homes in Wollert, Lalor, Cairnlea and Bendigo yesterday, dismantling a state-wide cannabis distribution network.
A large amount of cash, approximately 100kg of cannabis, two firearms and five vehicles were seized.
Twelve people have all been charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of cannabis and other drug related offences.
They are a 33-year-old man, 33-year-old woman, 22-year-old woman and 16-year-old boy all from Lalor, a 28-year-old Cairnlea man, a 24-year-old Deer Park man, a 53-year-old Golden Square man, a 54-year-old and 31-year-old man both from Kangaroo Flat, a 24-year-old St Albans man, a 34-year-old and a 31-year-old woman both from Traralgon and a Cairnlea woman.
They appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
