Detectives Investigate Fatal Collision At Murchison

Police are currently at the scene of a possible hit-run collision that has claimed the life of a man in Murchison.
Emergency services were called to Murchison-Violet Town Road, near the intersection of Gillam Road, after the man’s body was located by a passing motorist about 3.10am.
The man is yet to be formally identified.
At this stage the exact circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be established, however police believe it may be the result of a hit-run collision.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are en route.
Road closures are currently in place at Stevenson Street and Wahring-Murchison East Road.
