Broncos fans will be breathing a sigh of relief this afternoon after hearing the news that twenty-two year old flyer Herbie Farnworth has inked a one-year extension at the club. However, there’s one condition – He wants to play fullback.

The English-born star has been a key fixture in the Broncos recent run off success and has fended off the multiple larger offers to remain at Red Hill. One of those offers was coming from across town courtesy of Wayne Bennett’s Dolphins.

Speaking on The Rush Hour with Leisel, Liam and Dobbo NRL insider Ben Dobbin revealed that after speaking to both Bennett and Broncos coach Kevin Walters the former Broncos-junior product may get his wish after all.

Another man who would be comfortable in the number one jersey is nineteen-year-old Selwyn Cobbo who looks set to also recommit to the club, however the Broncos depths in the backs may put pressure on another junior waiting in the wings described by the club as ‘better than Kotoni Staggs at his age’
