John Hastings has revealed that doctors are no closer to figuring out what is causing the mysterious condition that has forced him to call time on his cricket career.

The Duke joined Triple M Brisbane's The Big Breakfast ahead of the launch of new cricket show Willowtalk, where he spoke about the illness that only affects his bowling.

Listen below:

"Apart from when I'm bowling, I'm alright," Hastings said. "Day to day life, all good."

But every cloud has a silver lining and Hastings is now free to join Triple M's Willowtalk, which starts this Saturday December 1 at 10am and will continue through the summer.

"We're gonna have all sorts of different hosts - James Brayshaw, Mark Howard, Brad Haddin, Gussy Worland's on," Duke explained. "It'll be very good fun."
