Domestic Violence Prevention Month

We're still seeing hundreds of Domestic Violence Orders coming through the local courts, as we mark the start of Domestic Violence Prevention Month.

In the months from July 2018 up to April this year, there have been 748 DVOs lodged with Rockhampton Magistrates Court, with another 953 the previous financial year.

Liam Dooley from White Ribbon Australia says even if we're not directly affected, there are things we can do to make our community safer.

The first step is to educate yourself, then look at how you can be an influencer within your community.
