Driver's Close Call After Epic Roo Crash

A driver is lucky to be alive after their ute collided with a kangaroo in the Hunter Valley. 

Police say a Mitsubishi Triton was travelling along the Golden Highway at Jerrys Plains at around 6am this morning when the animal was hit by the ute. 

The kangaroo has then flown through the front windshield with so much force it completely snapped the passenger side seat, before ending up in the back of the vehicle. 

Highway Patrol says the driver is incredibly lucky he wasn't seriously injured or worse.
