Drugs, Tasers And Cash Seized In East Melbourne

Police have arrested a 31-year-old man after seizing drugs, weapons, and a stash of cash during an intercept in East Melbourne over the weekend.

The Carlton man was pulled over on Wellington Parade just after 1am on Sunday.

A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered methylamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, and cannabis.

Officers also found a large amount of cash and two taser guns.

The man was charged with several offences including trafficking and drug possession, possessing prohibited weapons, and proceeds of crime.

He is set to front the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 28 February next year.
