Eddie McGuire Responds To Tim Watson's Huge New Footy Show Rumours

Triple M's Eddie McGuire has responded to rumours about a second variant of the Footy Show that might happen before the 2019 AFL grand final - and perhaps beyond.

While there's already a grand final Footy Show happening this year, on Monday morning SEN Breakfast's Tim Watson ran with another rumour involving a significant change for the Sunday Footy Show specifically for this year's grand final.

It's a change Watson flagged may become permanent.

"That's a big bomb," Darce said.

So they went to the only man they knew who would confirm or deny it: Eddie.

He told them on Triple M's Hot Breakfast that the chances of a permanent change was a "big step", but a move this year for the grand final was "more likely that unlikely".

"Yeah, it is (a chance to happen)," he said.

"There's a big chance, yeah, there is. It hasn't been announced yet.

"It's only history repeating itself."
