Eddie McGuire’s Apology To Cynthia Banham

Eddie McGuire has apologised to Cynthia Banham and her family for his comments on Fox Footy on Friday night on this morning’s Hot Breakfast.

“I just want to say that I’m completely devastated to have spoiled in any way the special night afforded to Cynthia Banham and her family on Friday night,” Eddie said.

“Inadvertently as it was, the impact of my words were profound and I achieved the exact opposite of my intention and I would like to once again offer my sincere apologies to Cynthia, Michael, their friends and family, the Sydney Swans and the AFL family.”

Eddie took full responsibility for his words.

“It was unfortunate sequence of events, but I own them,” he said.

“There was no problem with producers, or anyone in the studio, or co-hosts.

“This was solely me.”
