18 years ago today, we mourned the passing of legendary Aussie rocker Graeme "Shirley" Strachan.
Eddie McGuire paid tribute to a good friend and "bona fide rock star" who he held in the highest esteem, getting to know The Skyhooks icon and sharing many memories over the journey.
"Shirl" was not only a brilliant lead singer for one of Australia's most important bands, he was a great radio and television presenter until he died in a helicopter accident in Queensland on this day in 2001.
